The Mississippi Territory was created by congressional legislation on April 7, 1798. It was dissolved on December 10, 1817, when the western half of the Territory became the twentieth state of the United States of America.
The State Law Library recently acquired two volumes of Minutes of the Territorial Supreme Court spanning the years 1799-1809.
The two volumes, 1799-1803 and 1805-1809, have been scanned and provided here. Due to the fragile nature of the volumes’ bindings and pages, the Library does not guarantee that each scanned page from each Minute Book is complete and accurate.
